Sauvignon, also called Sauvignon Blanc, is a white grape variety coming from the French region of Bourdeaux. The name comes from the French term “sauvage” (savage), due to its origins as native grape variety of the south-west of France. It is one of the most widespread white grape varieties worldwide. Sauvignon is strongly fragranced and aromatic, its bouquet is complex with intense but delicate and lingering flavours, with fragrances of nutmeg, spices, tropical fruit and yellow pepper. The palate is elegant, velvet-smooth, warm and harmonious, with a slightly bitter finish. It pours a beautiful bright straw yellow with green tinges.
